Setting up your Clover Go 3 card reader

The Clover Go 3 is the pocket-sized card reader Arca provides for taking payments from your phone or tablet. It pairs over Bluetooth with the Clover Go app and accepts tap, chip and swipe. This guide covers charging it, getting the app, pairing, and what the status lights mean.

What's in the box

Note: A USB power adapter isn't always included — you may need a standard USB adapter to plug the cable into a wall outlet. You can also charge from any powered USB port.

Set it up in 3 steps

1

Charge the reader

Connect the USB cable to the reader and a power source to charge it (a USB adapter may be required).

2

Get the Clover Go app

On your phone or tablet, download the Clover Go app from clover.com/app-download.

3

Pair the reader

Open the Clover Go app and follow the prompts to pair the reader with your phone or tablet over Bluetooth.

Tip: When it's charging, or powered on and fully charged, the reader is ready to pair and take payments.

Status indicator lights

The small light on the reader shows its battery, pairing and payment status:

LightWhat it means
Charging
Fully charged
Ready to pair (flashing)
Paired (solid)
Ready for payment — insert, tap or swipe
Critically low battery — charge it
To conserve battery, the status light may not always appear — that's normal.
