Setting up your Clover Kiosk

The Clover Kiosk is the self-service ordering station Arca provides — a tall touchscreen with a built-in card reader and receipt printer that lets your customers browse, order and pay on their own. It arrives mostly assembled, so setup is really just connecting power, switching it on, and loading receipt paper.

What's in the box

Note: The kiosk's connections sit on its base — a power switch and power inlet, two USB ports, and an Ethernet port for wired internet (it also connects over Wi-Fi).

Set it up in 3 steps

1

Connect the power cable

Plug the power cable into the power inlet on the kiosk's base.

2

Plug in last

Connect to a grounded AC outlet last, after the cable is attached to the kiosk.

3

Switch it on

Flip the power switch on the base. The kiosk powers on — follow the on-screen prompts to finish setup.

Tip: Save the wall outlet for last and use a grounded outlet, and keep the base vents clear so the kiosk stays cool while it runs.

Load receipt paper

The built-in printer uses 80 mm (3.125 in) wide thermal rolls, up to 83 mm (3.25 in) in diameter.

  1. Open the printer compartment on the base.
  2. Drop the paper roll in so it feeds from the bottom toward the front.
  3. Pull a little paper out past the cutter.
  4. Close the compartment — it's ready to print.

Care & safety

Important: Ignoring these precautions can cause equipment damage or create a safety hazard.
