Setting up your Clover Kitchen Display System

The Clover Kitchen Display System (KDS) is the kitchen screen Arca provides to send orders straight to your kitchen or bar — no more paper tickets. This guide covers what's in the box, how to mount and power it on, an alternative power option over your network, and a few care and safety notes.

What's in the box

Clover KDS display — model C700 (standard) or C701 (24″ XL); the kitchen display screen.
Power adapter with cable.
Power cable — in some regions a region-specific cable is included for your outlet type.

Note: A mounting stand is not included. The KDS attaches to any standard 100 mm VESA stand or wall mount — use the one that fits your counter or kitchen setup. This guide applies to both the standard (C700) and 24″ XL (C701) models — setup is identical.

Set it up in 4 steps

Mount the screen

Attach the display to your stand or wall mount using the four 100 mm VESA holes on the back. Follow the instructions that came with your stand.

Remove the port caps

Pull off the waterproof caps covering the ports on the underside of the screen before you connect anything.

Connect the power adapter

Plug the power adapter into the screen's power port and connect its cable to the adapter.

Plug in last, and power on

Connect to a grounded AC outlet last, after everything else is in place. The screen powers on automatically — if it doesn't, press the power button on the back.

Tip: Always plug into the wall outlet as the final step, and use a grounded outlet so the screen powers up safely.

Power it over your network instead (PoE)

If your network supports Power over Ethernet, you can skip the power adapter and run a single cable for both power and internet. Connect an Ethernet cable from a PoE+ source (IEEE 802.3at) to the KDS's Ethernet port — it carries power and your network connection together.

Network note: Connect the KDS only to PoE networks that stay inside your building. Don't route the cable to outdoor wiring or equipment outside the premises.

Care & safety

Use a grounded outlet, and plug into power last — after mounting and connecting everything else.
Keep unused ports capped. Leave the waterproof caps on any port you're not using.
Use it indoors. The screen's 5 GHz Wi-Fi is intended for indoor use only.
Don't disassemble or modify the display or its adapter.

Important: Ignoring these precautions can cause equipment damage or create a safety hazard.
